Possible Points with room for improvement :
Some may argue that the harm of CP is greater than the benefit because although the positive deterrent effect is indeed ideal, these effects cannot be realistically achieved when the punishment can be averted >>> using women, children or the elderly to abet crimes because in some countries, CP is not inflicted upon these groups of offenders
CP is more beneficial than harmful because the harm or pain of punishment inflicted on a few is far less compared to the beneficial deterrent effect that keeps society as a whole safer
CP is more beneficial than harmful because for the convict himself, the temporary harm of painful punishment is outweighed by the long-term lesson learnt to not become recalcitrant.
CP is more beneficial than harmful because, in terms of building a reputation for the country, a tarnished human rights record is a problem that a country can still cope with if it enjoys the reputation for being a safe place where its people and foreign investors and talent want to set up home and raise their families.
